One of our most unique projects here at PCHS is what we call Project In-Thing. Project In-Thing is in cooperation with Project Ignition, which is a service learning grant that is focused on promoting teen driver safety. Project In Thing, is focused on changing the way DUI laws are handled, and also how laws are handled for driving on a suspended license. By accomplishing this, we hope to not only change the lives of each other, our community, and our state, but our nation as well.
Some of the proposals for the change in legislature are: giving special car tags to people who are convicted DUI offenders, drivers who use fake I.D. will receive jail time, and special licenses for DUI offenders. We encourage everyone who would like to help, to take part and contact your state legislature. Urge them to change the laws pertaining to DUI driving, every little step counts. We want to make the roads safer for everyone.
Recently, in the past year, we have had
students travel to Nashville and present our school's project.
